ALBUM & VIDEO PROJECT
From March 2021 Mila Chiral found herself realizing the album NIGHTMARES & FAIRY TALES FOR THE END OF TIMES.
The journey took until the end of the year 2020.
When thinking about publishing the music, her artistic biography and transdisciplinary interest in audio and visual art forms led to the imagination of a video project which could be also shown
in a live setting to make the lonely work of diving into deep spaces of sounds and time become a collaborative project.
By reaching out to digital visual & dance / performance artists of previous collaborations and their willingness & trust to join this project formed this temporal artist collective of this video project | AV project NaFTftEoT:

14 interdisciplinary artists collaborated in this dystopian-utopian project together exploring times & spaces with sounds, visuals, bodies, colors, looping, morphing, changing in physical & digital visual & sound choreographies.
4 places in a multi-dimensional space, where different vibrating beings' dynamic artworks connected to the past and the future, dystopian and utopian visions, and material of different colours and shapes meet through oscillations of sound and light to create unique moments for the ones who are there to perceive those sensations, ready for shared experiences and individual traces in each ones memory to unfold to stories any kind - to be told and shared in their own rhythms...

Beginning with an ending...
The album NIGHTMARES & FAIRY TALES FOR THE END OF TIMES follows a journey through inner and outer spaces in a post-apocalyptic world.
/ Resisting prescriptive story-telling MILA CHIRAL invites all listeners to envision innumerable tales by following the undertones comprised of past and future. Pure energy leads to prospective actions and an unwillingness to be understood by the sophisticated mind.
/ Accidental encounters and archetypical narratives are caught in the moment and questioned immediately through utopian and dystopian reflections.
/ Existential depths in the unforeseeable back and forth backwaters attempt to catch, with traumatic intensity, a way to cope - a way to belong, again, where ever it might be possible.
/ Non-linear pathways, loops through circuitous patterns in pursuit of unknown territory between life and death exploring history and drafted future possibilities.
/ Ending with an open question, which might be another beginning.
/ The underlying oscillations through times are only visible from far away.
